INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
MARCH 8TH, 2018
Cucumber is a female owned and run business, so we couldn't be happier than to celebrate International Women's Day and everything it stands for. First and foremost it's all about celebrating 'the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women', and that's a lot to celebrate. It's a movement that's over one hundred years old and is still as relevant today as it was last century. This year's campaign is #pressforprogress and there are events happening all over the country that you can take part in. You can find out more here.
For those of you in London, the Women of the World Festival Southbank has an amazing line up of events. But, shh, you'll find our favourite IWD event right here. See you there!
Cucumber around the World
We like to think that Cucumber is just about everywhere! We've had enquiries and orders and pics from every corner of the globe. With a thought of snow around the corner we thought we'd post this pic of Cucumber amidst the palm trees in sunny Mexico. Make ours a tequila.
If you'd like to be included in our monthly newsletter roundup, drop us a line with your details and we'll include a free tote bag with your next order - we'd love to see you on board.
Meet Cucumber
Meet Gi, our most particular and perfectionist Production Manager. She's the reason those straps fit just so, and that our insides look just as good as the out. Thanks Gi, as far as Cucumber is concerned, you're the bees knees!
do this - check out Glow Bar London's range of natural stress management remedies. The beautiful packaging has us sold already. We're queueing up for Super Glowy which is going to give us clear skin and perfect hair all year around. You heard it here first folks!
read this - Clothes, Clothes, Clothes, Music, Music, Music, Boys, Boys, Boys by Viv Albertine of the 1970's punk band, The Slits. Her raw, unflinching chronicle of the punk revolution from a female perspective left us gasping and will leave you captivated.
