Cucumber's Core

You know Cucumber as the seasonless, luxury leisurewear brand that is life-proof. Cooling, anti-crush, stay-fresh and sustainable, we are the go-to pieces in your wardrobe.

Why? It's all about our fabrics.

Longlasting - slow fashion all the way. Cucumber fabrics last up to six times longer than cotton.

Cold or hand wash - less water and energy consumption

Hang dry, no tumble dry - less microfibres released, less energy used. (Microfibres of any sort cotton/linen/human-made microfibres all act in the same way once in the environment)

No iron - saving you time and energy bills.

Sustainable washing means washing only when needed - our built in anti-microbial keeps you fresh. The truth? We hardly ever wash our Cucumber pieces, spot-washing when necessary.

Performance - Cucumber's clever fabric technology makes you feel like it's yoga everyday. Super soft fabrics that move with your body and keep you feeling fresh whatever the weather.

Cucumber's Signature Jersey

This is where we started and we've never looked back. Our signature jersey: soft, lightweight, with a shake out and wear simplicity. Super powers? The fibres are chopped into tiny fragments that are then spun to replicate the downy feel of cotton. The filaments are then specially woven to provide intense wicking capability to keep you cool and dry. Finally the fabric holds a patented 'stay-fresh' component that kills off any odour-producing bacteria. Best-selling? You bet.

Cucumber's Feels-Like-Silk

Our second collection got off to a jumpstart in March 2018 with our 'feels like silk' pieces. We had wanted to find a fabric that had all the beauty of a thick silk, without any of the hassle. Silky smooth against the skin, easy care (no dry cleaning!) and of course all the cooling and stay-fresh qualities of our jersey. These have been consistent sellers throughout the year for everything from sleepwear to practical poolside glamour.

Cucumber's Cashmere

Cucumber's Cashmere collection (with 9% cashmere) has been a beautiful slow burn. A simple jumpsuit and dress, we wanted something that worked in the cooler months and felt truly luxurious on and let the fabric do the talking. A surprise hit despite the cashmere making this a higher price than most of our range, it made us understand that women really value practical luxury and beautiful clothing that is life-proof.

Cucumber's 37.5 Collection

37.5 technology pushed all our buttons, incredibly soft with a beautiful drape, simple to care for and made with naturally produced, embedded volcanic minerals that begin to cool you down before you get hot. 37.5 technology is normally used in sports clothing, but we loved the idea of performance fabrics for everyday life. The results are in, you love it!

Cucumber Partners with Women in Travel

Cucumber has always tried to support charities and social enterprises from the start. We are delighted to begin our support for Women in Travel, the social enterprise that helps women overcoming challenges, return to work.

Women in Travel (CIC) started life as a gender-focused platform at World Travel Market 2014 in London. Growing successfully from then onwards, in 2017 it was incorporated as a social enterprise dedicated to empowering women through employability and entrepreneurship in Travel Tourism and Hospitality. The brain-child of Alessandra Alonso, who has been recognised as a trailblazer when it comes to gender diversity in the industry. Women in Travel partners with employers and charities to provide the first Women Returners service through which the industry can access a pool of marginalised but often highly skilled women who are eager to get back to work.
